What Is DIRBS?

As per the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority authorized (PTA), all electronic means  SIM based devices, including smart mobile phones, any types of tablets and other internet devices should be registered from PTA, otherwise PTA, will be disable all such devices who failed to register within stipulated time.

Now, PTA newly introduced new verification system is known as Devices Identifications, Registrations and Blocking Systems mean is short (DIRBs)

PTA Now remove restriction internet access for registration just dialing *8484* access. Through USSD (SMS in shortly service) in this process to which has been explained in detail below follow me these steps.

Now It's time How To Register (For Free) Your First Device Free without any charges?

Step 1: First Let Start off with dialing *8484# from your mobile phone as below:

Step 2: Now following Message Appears in Your Mobile Screen. Now Reply with ‘1’ to start with the registration process see Picture.

Step 3: Now Below Options select most appropriate option Reply with ‘1’ if you are a citizen (Pakistan) or with ‘2’ if a temporary foreigner (others country) see details.

Step 4: Now Reply with ‘1’ if you are going to first device to be registered  it is totally free of cost be registered free of cost. One device within a  year is registered for all free of cost. otherwise, others case are charged with some registration fee by PTA told you before registration.

Step 5: Now its time to Enter your Valid National passport number. Be careful to check twice before enter any such details number or passport number because once error can not be omitted in any case.

Step 6:  At the End Enter your National ID Card-CNIC number. Be careful to check twice before enter any such details number or passport number because once error can not be omitted in any case.

Step 7:  It is pertinent to mentioned here that if you have dual SIM Mobile then both of IMEI number must be registered, Reply with the Number of SIM slots 1 and Slots 2 number randomly you have in your device. As you know each SIM slot have a unique IMEI Number.

Step 8: It is time to Enter your First IMEI Number from your mobile and  IMEI No. can be obtained by dialing *#06# from the desired SIM card.

Step 9: Now if you have dual SIM then enter the second IMEI numbers 

Step 10: After that dial Reply with ‘1’if complete all the process or otherwise dial ‘0’ If you feel like re-checking/be sure all  your details, me recommended you re check aging. then replying with ‘1’ your request for registration little bit time will be submitted to PTA and in case of some delay or any query you can again check from on PTA’s helpline number is 0800-55555.

If you enter all the information correctly then will Shortly afterwards, you will receive a confirmation message from PTA along with your credentials detail.

Trouble Shooting and Problems In Case Of Unsuccessful Registration from PTA.

You needs to consider the following problem if you get the similar message of an unsuccessful registration from PTA after registration request.

Problem 1. If the IMEI already exists/register in PTA And the registration will be failed then what to do:

Problem 2. If  you enters wrong Passport or CNIC Number or only enter Passport in case of a foreigner, who not a traveler or does not travel internationally so far. The following message will appear on your screen and the registration will be failed now.

Problem 3. If you entered the same or wrong IMEI no. for both time SIMs then the following message will appear on your screen. The registration will be failed so far.

Problem 4.  If you entered different IMEIs from different devices/mobile rather than same device. The registration will be rejected.

Problem 5. If you entered fist IMEI’s number of 8 digits called (TAC) is not GSMA is valid, this message will be shown and Registration will be failed. and rejected.

Problem 6. If your mobile is dual, triple or four SIM supported and you entered IMEI one only for one then the following message will appear and the registration will be failed and rejected.

Problem 7. As per Rule one person Max limit is 5 devices per year register. If these limit exceeds upto 6th or more  device could not be registered by PTA. The following message will appear and the registration will be failed and rejected.

Problem 8. If your enter wrong IMEI no. is more or less than 14 digits The following message will appear and the registration will be failed and rejected.

DIRBS is a great initiative PTA Pakistan the introduction of USSD Registration has been made easy manner. It will only allow user to use legal and register devices.
